The Samyang 16mm T2.6 ED AS UMC is an ultra-wide full frame manual focus lens for video applications. This lens can be mounted on all Sony E mount mirrorless, DSLR, and camcorder cameras; and will not vignette due to its full frame coverage. This lens features a declicked aperture that opens up to T2.6, 9-bladed circular aperture for pleasant bokeh quality, and a complex lens construction that includes two ED elements, two aspherical glass elements, and two high refractive lenses to ensure that images are sharp and artifact free. When used with a full-frame sensor camera, this 16mm lens produces a 106.9°, super-wide angle of view. Its Multi coated optics minimises flares, ghosting and provides colour consistency across the Samyang cine lens range. Included petal-shaped lens hood blocks stray light from reaching the lens. A smooth dampened focus ring provides enhanced manual focus control. You can change the aperture quickly and smoothly with the uncoupled aperture gear ring. The T number guiding the actual amount of light transmission and distance scales are marked on both sides of the lens to film more precisely.
